Job Description:

We are currently seeking to hire a Semi-Senior Auditor in our Brea, California office that has 2-4 years of experience working as an auditor in a public accounting firm. As an Semi-Senior Auditor, you will work closely with partners, managers, staff, and clients to facilitate the completion of audit and review engagements. You will have an opportunity to work on not-for profit clients and companies in a variety of industries.


Responsibilities include:

  1. Regularly communicate with seniors, managers and/or partners informed on the status projects and any problems encountered

  2. Apply common knowledge of business functions, processes and strategies

  3. Understand transactional flow and key transition cycles

  4. Perform procedures for all sections of audit, review, compilation or agreed-upon procedure engagements, with limited supervision

  5. Prepare financial statements with disclosures

  6. Develop self-learning and problem solving skills

  7. Perform planning for all engagements and customize engagement procedures; monitor multiple engagement progress and budgets

  8. Supervise and teach junior staff; lead small teams/engagements

  9. Research on complicated accounting and auditing issues

  10. Develop and maintain ongoing business relationships with client personnel

Experience and Skills:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Bilingual
  • 2-4 year of experience working in a public accounting firm performing audit engagements is required
  • CPA license
  • Strong communication skills, both in writing and in person
  • A service mentality and a thorough understanding of accounting debits and credits and audit risk areas
  • Ability to work independently on assignments and address issues or questions with engagement manager or partner
  • Strong time management, organizational abilities, attention to detail and interpersonal skills are required
  • Knowledge and demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
