About the Opportunity

We are currently seeking to hire a Senior Auditor in our Brea, California office that has 2-4 years of experience working as an auditor in a public accounting firm. As an Senior Auditor, you will work closely with partners, managers, staff, and clients to facilitate the completion of audit and review engagements. You will have an opportunity to work on not-for profit clients and companies in a variety of industries.


Responsibilities include:

  1. Responsible for leading engagements: perform planning, adjust fieldwork strategy in response to issues encountered; device action plans to solve complicated problems for managers’ approval; monitor time spend on engagements, and, when required, propose to the manager any necessary modifications in the engagement work plan

  2. Responsible for the day-to-day, on-the-job training of junior staff and completing engagements in a timely and efficient manner

  3. Regularly assess the status of department staff’s work, review their progress and answer questions; proactively report to managers and partners

  4. Responsible for the detailed review of all working papers

  5. Prepare, review and approve all drafts of financial statements prior to review by the manager(s) and/or partners(s)

  6. Develop and maintain ongoing business relationships with client personnel

 

Experience and Skills:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • Bilingual
  • 2-4 year of experience working in a public accounting firm performing audit engagements is required
  • CPA license
  • Strong communication skills, both in writing and in person
  • A service mentality and a thorough understanding of accounting debits and credits and audit risk areas
  • Ability to work independently on assignments and address issues or questions with engagement manager or partner
  • Strong time management, organizational abilities, attention to detail and interpersonal skills are required
  • Knowledge and demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
